Alebrije Workshop
Authentic Alebrije Workshop — Paint Your Own Piece of Mexican History
Step into one of Mexico's most iconic art traditions and create your own colorful alebrije. This is more than a workshop — it's a rare opportunity to connect with the living origins of a world-famous craft.
Alebrijes were originally created by Pedro Linares López, a Mexico City artisan who dreamed of fantastical creatures during a fever and brought them to life in paper and paint. Today, his family carries that tradition forward — and this workshop is led by them. You'll hear the story firsthand, learn the techniques passed down through generations, and paint your own figure using vibrant colors and intricate patterns.
You'll leave with a handmade piece of Mexican art — and a story worth telling.
